Rhynchium quinquecinctum

Body color black, with the latter half of the first and second gastral tergites apically and the third and later segments entirely yellowish brown. A pair of comma-shaped yellow spots is present in the ocellar region. This species nests in bamboo tubes by making cells with mud partitions, and hunts larvae of moths such as Pyralidae or Tortricidae. It is divided into four subspecies according to region.
