Body relatively large and elongate, black in color, with narrow yellow transverse bands on the first and second gastral tergites. Thorax without luster, while the gaster shyny. This species is unusual among the eumenid wasps in that it nests with masticated plant leaves (dark green to brown), and the cells are filled with fine leaf fragments. It hunts moth larvae of Tortricidae, etc.
