Trypoxylon malaisei

First gastral segment flask-shaped, narrow basally and abruptly broadened posteriorly. Second to third gastral tergites of females with red bands. This is a large species among the Trypoxylon species in Japan, and hunts spiders of the family Araenidae. All of the more than 30 species of this genus in Japan are thought to be basically tube-renters.
