Body black, with white to grayish brown body hairs. Posterior margin of gastral segments 1-5 with a hair band. This species differs from the closely related Coelioxys hosoba in that mandibles of female are nearly parallel at the base, abruptly narrowing at the tip. This species parasitizes Megachile tsurugensis or related species.
