Hylaeus transversalis
Cockerell, 1924
Body black, with few hairs; lateral face with yellow spots; second gastral segment shining. Females carry pollen in their digestive tracts, so they do not have brushes on their body surface for pollen transport. Cells in nests are covered with cellophane-like thin films. The genus Hylaeus includes many species that are similar to each other, making identification difficult.
